Samira Alejos, O.D.

Dr. Samira Alejos is the owner and founding member of Lone Star Vision Group. With over 10 years of experience as an eye doctor and a passion for eye care, she is honored to provide the highest quality optometric services and exceptional patient care to the Cedar Park / Leander community.
Dr. Alejos has expertise in treating vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia, as well as more complex medical conditions and diseases, including glaucoma and strabismus. She also provides co-management of cataract and Lasik procedures, specialty contact lens fitting and Myopia control management. She is licensed in Texas as a Therapeutic Optometrist and as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is on the board of the Central Texas Optometric Society (CTOS). She is a lifetime Beta Sigma Kappa – International Optometric Honor Society member and a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association.
She received her Bachelor’s degree at Texas State University before graduating from the inaugural class at the University of Incarnate Word – Rosenberg School of Optometry in 2013. She graduated with honors and completed internships at a major VA Hospital in San Antonio, TX, Dell Laser Center in Austin, TX, and Texan Eye in Austin, TX.
Dr. Alejos grew up in Austin and enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her wonderful husband and their three children.

Alyssa Garza, O.D.

Dr. Alyssa Garza is therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist and is excited to be at Lone Star Vision Group. She has practiced in the Austin area for over three years and takes pride in serving the community with quality eye care.
Dr. Garza practices all aspects of eye care including comprehensive eye exams, emergency eye care needs, glaucoma management, dry eye disease management, and specialty contact lens fittings.
She graduated with a Bachelors degree from the University of Houston and continued on to the University of Houston College of Optometry (UHCO) where she graduated Magna Cum Laude as a Doctor of Optometry. She is a proud member of the Texas Optometric Association (TOA) and the Central Texas Optometric Society (CTOS).
In her free time Dr. Garza loves to travel, try new restaurants, and spending time with her family!

Stefanie Taing, O.D.

Dr. Stefanie Taing was born and raised in Austin, Texas and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Incarnate Word at Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas.
She completed her clinical rotations at Community Eye Care in Fort Worth, Texas and at the Amarillo Veterans Affair where she diagnosed, managed and treated ocular diseases. She also volunteered in a mission trip to Guatemala where she provided eye care to the underserved population of Chichicastenango, Guatemala and to the orphans of the Village of Hope Guatemala.
When Dr. Taing is not in the office, she enjoys trying different chocolate cakes and balancing this out with long runs. She has completed several Austin Half-Marathons and plans to complete many more in the future. She is excited to have the opportunity to provide eye care to the Cedar Park area with Lone Star Vision Group as a therapeutic optometrist and certified glaucoma specialist.

Hi, I’m Tara! I’m a proud graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Biology and am currently preparing for the MCAT as I work toward a future in medical school. At Lone Star Vision Group, my goal is to be a positive, dependable presence and to provide each patient with compassionate, attentive care.
In my free time, I enjoy staying active with reformer Pilates, exploring Austin with my dog, and unwinding with video games!

Hey there! I'm Elina, an optometric technician at Lone Star Vision Group. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and minors in Biochemical Engineering and Chemistry. I'm excited to be part of the team and to continue learning about patient care as I work toward a future in medicine.
In my free time, I enjoy joyrides, sitcoms, and programming small tools to make everyday tasks more efficient. You can also find me volunteering at the local hospital or occasionally fostering cats in need.
